| Drug Testing Checklist and Member Advice of Rights

|
The OHSU supervisor's drug testing checklist is linked below. The member's advice of rights when asked to submit to a "reasonable suspicion" drug screen is on the last page. OHSU is able to test members for drug or alcohol impairment under certain circumstances. Members and stewards should familiarize themselves with the Drug Testing Memorandum of Understanding in the contract as well as the document below so that you understand your rights. In most cases, if the member is a first offender, the contract language will allow the member to retain their employment and return to work, even if they are found to be impaired on duty due to drugs or alcohol. In order for that to happen, you must know your rights and follow the process.
